What the exercise is
A short self-reflection on how you tend to react when someone gets close, when you argue and when you need help. Nothing is saved in this article, and there is no score.
If you want to go deeper, Self-insight in the app lets you answer at your own pace and follow how the picture changes over time.
What it is not
It is not a psychological test, not a diagnosis and not a prediction of how a relationship will go. Attachment patterns vary between relationships and over time, and a short questionnaire cannot capture that.
Be careful with tests that hand you a letter code and a promise about who you match with. That is entertainment, not knowledge.
The four patterns, briefly
Read on about whichever feels familiar:
- Secure: you can ask for closeness and tolerate distance.
- Avoidant: independence feels safer than leaning on someone.
- Anxious: closeness feels good but the fear of losing it stays near.
- Disorganized: the impulses to approach and withdraw alternate quickly.
What you do with the answer
A pattern becomes interesting only when it turns into something concrete: a pause you explain, a question you ask, a need you say out loud. Pick one single thing to try this week.
If you want, you can share your reflection with your partner in Aivelyn Relation. What you write privately stays private until you choose to share it.
